Here’s a leaflet about Charlestown beach – with its strange pebbles (Strangers on the shore) and a pack of laminatd cards for the geology and landscape of the St Austell area, with 3 geology trails (the Rocking Trail – on Helman Tor, a town trail looking at building stone in St Austell, and a beach trail at Lantic Bay). Lots of people visit Charlestown – it’s part of the Cornish Mining Landscape World Heritage Site – so the leaflet was free, in shops, etc …and the aim was to encourage people to visit the area around which had fewer visitors (and a declining industry, china clay working).
