The Saltern Cove Trail is in the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark (though it was not a geopark when I wrote the trail). The brief was to produce a trail for families, so it was even more interactive than usual, had childish jokes (tested on my pre-teen daughter and friends – “Oh, Daaaaad!….”), and encouraged families to collect material to take back to the Seashore Centre to look at with the video-microscope. Of course living material had to be collected in a bucket, with water, and returned to the sea. The trail had content about the geology and the wildlife (including the wildlife in the marine nature reserve).
