You can download the leaflet for Bodmin Beacon and find out what you can see at different seasons. It’s very interactive – what can you identify? Can you find the animals on the wonderful benches made by the Thrussells, based on ideas from local people? ? There’s also a trail to follow around the nature reserve: have fun! You can also use it to identify local landmarks like Brown Willy. And you can print off and make up the four double-sided bookmarks based on designs by kids in local schools. The bookmarks fit together like jigsaw puzzle pieces – my idea to emphasise that all aspects of the environment are linked.
Here’s the front cover of the leaflet – inviting you to come for a walk and find the pink ballerinas. Of course these ballerinas – being fungi (yes, ‘pink ballerinas’ is the nickname) can only be found in Autumn. But there’s lots more to find – at every season.
